The original Tall “Big Bertha” Heat Shield & Chain Guard for GX200 Honda/Clone/Predator 212 is made of heavy duty 3/16" aluminum with a taller vertical heat shield for protecting the driver’s arm from radiating heat off of the exhaust header pipe. The Chain Guard also protects the driver against the chain and/or clutch in case of failure. This shield will clear most racing headers. Will not clear OEM gas tank and muffler. For OEM fuel tank and muffler clearance see the DJ-1410.

Key Features

Heavy-Duty Construction

Built from thick 14-gauge steel and coated with high-temp powder paint, the DJ-1420 delivers rugged durability—ideal for high-RPM applications and aggressive off-road or racing use.

Tall Vertical Heat Shield for Driver Protection

The tall, vertical heat shield guards your arm from exhaust heat without compromising airflow—perfect for kart drivers and junior dragster racers.

Dual Function: Heat & Chain Guard

Combining a full-bodied chain guard and an integrated heat shield, this versatile piece offers both protection from flying debris and high exhaust temperatures.

Racing Header Compatibility

Designed with a unique offset profile to fit over most aftermarket racing headers, including two-into-one and megaphone styles, while maintaining close clearance for performance flow.

Engine & Header Compatibility

Compatible Engine Models

Works seamlessly with standard and modified GX200 engines, Predator 212 powerplants, and popular Clone 196cc setups, making it the go-to chain guard for Predator 212 or GX200 chain guard applications.

Racing Headers It Clears

Clears most shorty and megaphone-style racing headers—especially two-into-one systems. For oversized aftermarket headers, verifying fitment is recommended.

When to Use DJ-1410 Instead

Opt for the lower-profile DJ-1410 if you’re running stock exhaust or compact headers. The DJ-1420’s height and width make it better suited for setups requiring more robust heat defense, such as Predator 212 heat shield use cases.
